In short
- Events must be real, legal and described honestly.
- Treat organisers, staff and attendees with respect.
- Don’t use bots, scrape the site or test our security without permission.
- Report any event that looks wrong. Several reports pause ticket sales until we’ve checked it.
- If someone is in danger, call 999 first.
1Events we don’t allow
- Anything illegal, or that encourages illegal activity
- Selling weapons, drugs or other restricted items
- Content that promotes hatred, violence or discrimination against people because of who they are
- Sexual services
- Gambling or lotteries without the right licence
- Pyramid schemes and ‘get rich quick’ events
- Fake events, or taking money for events that won’t happen
- Using another brand, artist or organisation’s name or images without permission
- Health claims that could put people at risk
2Listing honestly
- Use real photos you have the right to use.
- Show the full price, including any extras, before people pay.
- Don’t advertise a cheap price that isn’t really available.
- Make age limits, dress codes and entry rules clear.
- Say what access arrangements are in place.
3How to treat people
Don’t harass, threaten or abuse organisers, business staff, door staff or other attendees, online or in person. Organisers: only contact attendees about the event they booked.
4Using the platform
- Don’t use bots or automated tools to buy tickets.
- Don’t copy or scrape data from Lilka.
- Don’t open extra accounts to get around a suspension.
- Don’t test Lilka’s security without permission. If you find a security problem, email security@lilka.co.uk. We won’t take action against anyone who reports a problem in good faith and gives us time to fix it.
5Reporting an event
Use the report option on the event page, or email safety@lilka.co.uk with a link to the event and what’s wrong. You can report without an account.
- Our team reviews every report.
- When several reports come in about the same event, ticket sales are paused automatically until we’ve checked it.
- We then dismiss the report, ask the organiser to fix the listing, or remove the event and refund buyers.
- We never tell the organiser who reported their event.
6Emergencies
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. For safety concerns at an event, speak to the organiser’s staff or security team on site, then let us know.
